Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. The 40 days of preparation before Easter.
On Ash Wednesday, worshippers are traditionally marked with a cross on their foreheads, made from burning the Palm Crosses used in Palm Sunday worship the previous year.
Ash Wednesday worship will be held at the Cathedral at 10.00am and 6.00pm.
